A new music venue, Decca Live, is set to open in downtown Jacksonville in January 2025, filling the gap left by the closure of several local venues. The venue’s grand opening will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2025, featuring a sold-out performance by Grammy-nominated EDM artist Kaskade.
The announcement of the opening was made on Wednesday, with tickets for the grand opening show selling out by Thursday. Decca Live will be located on East Bay Street in the historic building that once housed the Florida State Theater Company, giving it a unique cultural backdrop.
Decca Live is positioned near other popular venues, including Justice Music Pub, Live Bar, and Myth Nightclub & Element Bistro. It is just a few blocks from Underbelly Live, making it a central spot for music lovers in downtown Jacksonville.
The venue will feature a spacious open-floor layout with a mezzanine that overlooks the crowd. It will also offer a rooftop bar with stunning views of the St. Johns River, open daily from 4:00 p.m. The venue’s operating hours will extend until midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and until 2:00 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
With a capacity of 1,000, Decca Live is significantly larger than Underbelly and nearly half the size of the Florida Theatre. The venue’s opening comes after the closure of Mavericks Live in 2019, which previously hosted major artists. Decca Live promises to bring more national and international music acts to Jacksonville, providing fans with more opportunities to enjoy live performances.
