BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare confirmed an Idaho resident from Southwest Boise contracted measles, prompting health officials to issue a reminder of the importance of vaccines. The resident, whose name hasn’t been released, was not vaccinated from measles and was exposed to the illness after traveling internationally. They were hospitalized and are currently recovering at home. However, when they returned, they potentially exposed others. Two City of Jackson animal control officers have been arrested. Marquette Allen II and Roderick Hibbler have been charged with embezzlement and conspiracy. The charges stem from alerts of exceptions on exceeding fuel purchases within the Animal Control Unit, a press release stated. An internal investigation revealed significant evidence in the theft of fuel through the City of Jackson’s Fuelman program throughout this year, the release continued.
