SpaceX has set the target time for its next Falcon 9 rocket launch from Florida’s Space Coast. The launch will take place from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral, with the RRT-1 mission being sent into orbit.
Company officials have scheduled the launch for 8:04 p.m. on Friday, though they have also set a backup opportunity for Saturday starting at 7:59 p.m. in case of delays.
The Falcon 9 rocket’s first-stage booster is expected to make its fourth flight during this launch. It was previously used for Crew-9 and two Starlink missions.
Weather conditions are being monitored, with the 45th Weather Squadron predicting a 20% chance of weather interference for Friday’s launch. However, if the launch is delayed to Saturday, the risk of weather issues increases to 40%.
SpaceX is prepared for the potential delay and will proceed with the backup launch window if necessary.
